MUKUMBARÍ, CABLE CAR: IS THE MODERN, HIGHEST AND LONGEST CABLE CAR IN THE WORLD

Recently Opened is the modern,  highest and longest teleférico in the world.  Takes an hour to ascend from a plateau in the Andes 10,250 feet (3,125 meters) to the top of Pico Espejo. Stop off at four stations on the way if you wish, and at the top admire Pico Bolívar in Mérida -Venezuela.
The Cable Car of Mérida is state property of Venezuela and as an official operation it is assigned to the Ministry of Tourism which has as its responsibility the operation, supervision, promotion and regulation of tourist activities in the country. The Cable Car of Mérida is the fruit of a project created by andinistas from Mérida, members of the now extinct Andino Venezolano Club, which in 1952 proposed the facilitation of a system allowing tourists to ascend the Sierra Nevada of Mérida.
After a Completely renewing with other Companies Doppelmayr/Garaventa from Austria,  is operated by VENTEL C.A.(created 22 Apr. 2008), Recently opened:
29 Abril 2016 and will be in function at Agosto 2016, Each New Cabin has a capacity of 60 persons, of wich 40 are seated and twenty are standing. 
The Cable Car of Merida is a system of 4 trams in series, wich facilitates the long distance of 12.5 kilometers and climbs from the city of Merida (1640 meters) to the Pico Espejo (4765 meters). It is considered the Longest and Highest Tourist Mountain Cable Car in the world.
